Over the course of a 20+ year career as editor of fancy corporate magazines, I had the chance to meet and work with many of the world's best photographers. One thing they all had in common (in addition to their ability to take memorable pictures under any circumstances) was great "war stories" that rarely got told outside their circle of friends.

Photo Stories is a collaborative photoblog started by Jerry Bowles for professional photographers and other artsy fartsy friends he has known over the years to share those stories.

The idea is simple: post a picture and tell us the story behind it.

Anybody can play although I reserve the right to not use it if it's offensive, libelous, stolen or annoys me.

How to Submit a Photo Story

Insert a picture into your email browser. Write the story about the picture below it. Don't forget to put your name at the end. Put the title in the subject box. Email to: post@photostories.posterous.com
