Why artifact bingo? I get that question a lot.
Its a simple and a complex answer.
In the creative process it is often a matter of taking one thing, then another...and maybe one, two or fifteen more things, thoughts, concepts, experiences, artifacts... and then bingo, you realize you've created something new... or a complete mess.
As much as creation is by design, it is also by chance.
And that is just one of the things I love about living a creative life.
One of my many art projects involves an investigation of the Mona Lisa.
Yes, the painting. And no, not the painting.
What I am most interested in exploring are the many and diverse expressions of the Mona Lisa. Her image has been appropriated for advertising and integrated into works of fine art. And its these second-hand Monas I am curious about. This blog, in part, will be reveal Mona's many faces.
I also have work of my own. On occasion, I will talk about objects of my own creation and the process behind it. The curious can see my work on etsy. Check out my shop at artifactbingo.etsy.com. And my advertising efforts are on display at judylittle.com
