This picture represents the highlight of my day today and the first of many silly, emotional wedding-related mistakes that I will make. It's a shot of a wedding dress that I bought from this lovely girl. It's gorgeous, with duchess satin and lace, a creamy peach satin sash and listen to this, buttons down the back. Yes, adorable little satin-covered buttons. Classy with the subtlest hint of quirky and whimsy. I got it. Without trying. Yes. Without trying. And I got back home and tried it on, and.. the only way I'd fit into it next year is if I lost several, several pounds and broke a few bones to reduce the girth of my ribcage. That's right. So, I've got the most gorgeous dress hanging at the back of my door with no one to wear it. Needless to say, I'm the dumbest bride-to-be around. I need to figure out my next plan of action.

Layered cakes with my drug of choice, coffee. For about 3 weeks, this was my almost-daily treat. I looked forward to having some of those layered buttery cakes each morning... but we're out of it, so I had to get out of this habit too. Sad, but that was a memorable 3 weeks... I'll miss you Lapis!
