I'm getting into this brave new world and I'm catching a few trends.

The "follow because he/she is a celebrity" = curiosity
The "follow because he/she is an expert in (fill in the blank) = niche interest
The "follow because he/she has a lot of followers so he/she must be saying something good" = herd mentality
The "follow because it's a company I like and I want to know what they are doing" = consumer interest, brand loyalty
The "follow because maybe they will follow back" = shamelessness

I'm down with all of the above except for that last one. Don't follow me and then unfollow in less than a day because you didn't get a follow back. That kind of behavior just proves you're a douche and only worried about numbers. I would hope that you followed me in the first place because you found what I had to say interesting, funny, and or entertaining - not because you wanted to pad your inflated ego. I'll follow you if you have something interesting to say (in my small world) but it's not a slight if I don't follow you back.

Pretty much all of the people I currently follow don't follow me and that's no big deal. In fact, everyone i've @replied to up until this point hasn't said a word back in acknowledgement. I know that's the way things go when you're talking bout a high volume system like twitter. There's plenty of people around, just follow the people that give you some value and let all the chips fall where they may.

Does that sound so unreasonable?

The iPhone's built in mail application is limited to sending only a single photo at a time. But a company called Aqua Eagle just released an application called Multi-Photo Email that lets you send multiple photos.

Just select photos from your photo library, address the email to post@posterous.com, type a subject and body, and off they go. The application works pretty well. This post was created using Multi-Photo Email.

Available now for only $0.99 at the iTunes application store. Thanks to John's posterous for the tip.

Note: This application is in no way affiliated with Posterous and we make no guarantees about it.

Whoa! It's been quiet here...

Anyway, in Nanjing, China, they are busy finish building a new shopping center for fake brands, featuring stores like McDnoald's, Bucksstar Coffee, and Pizza Huh?

Here are some leaked photos of the soon to be opened mall. Some consumers are pretty pissed off about the whole idea, so the city is under pressure to shut it down.
