I hope this blog will be a bridge between the Tamuras' cousins ,both side of the Pacific ocean.
Originally , the Tamuras had immigrated Seattle in late1800s,and most of them came back to Japan(by Manila Maru) before the pacific war.
Some of them went back to the State after war II and live in Seattle and grew their families overthere .
In early 1900s, the only way to Seattle was by ship, and the passengers from Asia first looked at Smith Tower when they arrived.Nowdays, the Smith Tower is still alive and the observatory from there has nice views around there.

アイコンのマニラ丸は当時大阪商船(OSK)の太平洋航路貨客船で、田村一家はこの船で帰国しました。
