Juliette LaMontagne, Ed.D. is an educator from New York City. She founded VOW Arts at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan, a program dedicated to engaging adolescent girls in activism through the arts. She researched project-based learning at Teachers College, Columbia University and took a faculty position there in the Secondary English Education Program. She consults for the Student Press Initiative, an urban literacy program and is a leadership coach with The Asia Society’s International Studies School Network.
LaMontagne is the co-author of Becoming (Other)wise: Enhancing Critical Reading Perspectives, a TED Fellow, a DoubleTake Documentarian Institute Teaching Fellow, an alumna and lecturer at the Woodhull Institute for Young Women and Ethical Leadership, and a recipient of an Outstanding Teaching Award from Columbia University.
