Tarfia Faizullah is the author of Seam (Southern Illinois University Press, 2014), winner of the 2012 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry's First Book Award. Her poems and prose have appeared or are forthcoming in The Missouri Review, Ploughshares, The Southern Review, Massachusetts Review, Ninth Letter, LA Review of Books, Mid-American Review, Blackbird, have been featured on Poetry Daily, and are anthologized in Poems of Devotion: An Anthology of Recent Poets (Wipf and Stock, 2011). A Kundiman fellow, she is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, an AWP Intro Journals Award, a Ploughshares Cohen Award, and other honors, as well as scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, Sewanee Writers' Conference, and the Kenyon Review Writers' Workshop, and has been short-listed for the Ruth Lilly Fellowship and nominated for several Pushcart Prizes.
