I started to blog about two years ago after I reconnected with a long lost friend over the internet. Although he does not actually use the internet himself there are many that are close to him that do use the Internet. Having discovered that he had become a type of Musical Jazz Icon in Asia I had started to research him on the Internet in order to discover what had taken place in his life since I had first met him over forty years ago. A great deal of his music was on a social network called Multiply and so I joined that network and before I knew it I was telling my story of how I had first met this wonderful man and additional folks from his country at the time of the New York World's Fair in the 60's.

As a result of this early experience of blogging it eventually led me to the opportunity to actually take my first long trip halfway around the world to meet my old friend in person. It was indeed a trip of a lifetime. Now I have found that I have joined many online communities and I am meeting many wonderful people worldwide. This indeed has turned into a marvelous adventure.

I enjoy learning new things and meeting so many wonderful people and also finding out about all kinds of music worldwide.

Surfing the internet is more fun to me than watching television and so much more pleasing to me.
