David Kyle Johnson is an assistant professor of philosophy at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
His philosophical specializations include philosophy of religion, logic and metaphysics. He has published on the “freedom/foreknowledge” problem and is currently working on the threat that natural evil poses to theism.
He has written extensively on the interaction between philosophy and popular culture, including a book on NBC’s Heroes, and chapters on South Park, Family Guy, The Office, Battlestar Galactica, Quentin Tarantino, Johnny Cash, Batman, The Colbert Report, The Onion, Doctor Who, and Christmas.
He also regularly teaches a philosophy class on pop culture and critical thinking/reading classes on weird myths (e.g., UFO’s), the bizarre brain, and the history of Christmas and Santa Claus.
