James Laitinen entrepreneurial pursuits include successes in a variety of industries. With more than ten years of progressively responsible experience working with global organizations with as many as 10,000 employees in companies with revenues in excess of $500 million.
James manages strategic planning for public and private organizations, including development of mission statements, clarification of objectives, coordination of planning teams, and achieving acceptance and implementation of plans. He directs the design and installation of enterprise class business systems and responsive executive management information systems for use in multi-million dollar organizations.
Currently he is enrolled in the Quick Start CMA BC Program working his way towards the designation and is a contributing member of Toastmasters International working towards the distinguished speaker award. James frequently contributes to the community and has volunteered with New Ventures BC (2009), and is a mentor with the Vancouver Board of Trade Leaders of Tomorrow Program.
James presents on a variety of topics at local events, conferences and courses providing his unique viewpoint. He has been quoted and contributed to media sources including the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, National Post, 24 Hour News, Business in Vancouver.
Personally, he is an enthusiast of stand-up comedy, hockey, golf, playing guitar, and a proud supporter of the Canadian Red Cross.
