My name is Christopher Harley and I’m a cab driver living and working in Portland, Oregon. In my 11 years of cabbing, I’ve ferried close to 30,000 customers. Some of those people only made it a few feet from their departure point whereas others journeyed hundreds of miles away.
Every person has a story to tell. Sometimes I just sit and listen. With others, it takes all I can muster to help them form a more coherent narrative. Either way it’s life.
The last few years of my life have been occupied with my college career. Returning to school later in life meant returning for a reason and a purpose. I’m now finishing my bachelor’s degree in marketing at Portland State University. The free time I have outside college and work is devoted to applying my marketing knowledge to the production of independent film and television.
