I can't even pin myself down! I am a zealous consumer of media and information. If you can think of a social justice issue, I like talking about it (prison reform, poverty reduction, human rights, immigration, gay rights, environment, ocelot rights). Plus, I have steadfastly dedicated many hours of my life living vicariously through TV and movie characters -- you name a show, I can probably supply a plot synopsis.
I am especially interested in media, having been a print journalist and an academic studying the transformational power of media to improve lives and spur social change. I was a fellow at GLAAD and am currently an account assistant at a communications firm for progressive organizations seeking to make the world a better place. In addition to the social networking links below, check out my LinkedIn account — you know, if you have an aching desire to know more about me than my own mother: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/b/204/259.
