This blog is an ongoing record of the Field Studies Program at Yokohama International School. Updated by students and faculty, the blog is updated live during the trips that take place during the month of October.

This project was piloted during Field Studies 2008 by thirteen students of the Class of 2011 visiting Hiroshima. The students exclusively contributed to the blog via their own cellular phones. Their entries can be seen at http://yishiroshima2008.posterous.com.

In 2009, the project continues with the students from the Class of 2012, expanding beyond the Hiroshima trip. Three students/teachers from each of the Izu and Iya trips will also contribute to the project via their phones. The fifteen students going to Hiroshima will now also blog with laptops equipped with eMobile mobile broadband USB modems, sponsored by eMobile and Apple on an experimental basis.

Class of 2012 hasn't subscribed to any posterous blogs yet.
