Why can't I add my Facebook account?
To add Facebook to your account, you'll need to enable third party cookies, javascript, and Flash in your browser. Facebook Connect will not work unless all of these things are enabled. Also make sure that any pop-up blockers are disabled. Step by Step Instructions »
1. Enable third-party cookies in your browser
To use Facebook Connect, you must enable third party cookies in your browser's privacy settings:
Note: Third party cookies are separate from regular cookies and often have to be enabled separately.
2. Click the login button and enter your account information
This button will appear even if you are logged into Facebook on another window. If it doesn't appear, chances are that you haven't enabled third-party cookies (see step #1). After clicking this button, a pop-up window will appear asking for your account information:
3. Click "Enable Autopost" and grant access to your Facebook account
After logging in, click the green "Enable Autopost" botton. You'll then be prompted by Facebook to grant us three permissions to access your account when you're not logged in, and to read and write to your account. You must grant all three:

Facebook Profile vs. Fan Page
Posterous can post to your Facebook profile or to your Fan Page. For your Facebook profile, we can autopost to your status, stream, photo albums, or video albums. For Facebook pages, we can only autopost to the page's wall.
Make sure to click the appropriate icon for adding a Facebook page or profile:
Facebook Profile Autopost Options
Posterous can autopost photos, videos, status, and stream updates for Facebook profiles only. Autopost to Facebook pages can only post to the wall. You can edit these options to customize how and what we autopost by clicking here and clicking "Edit" next to your Facebook account. Detailed Explanation »
-
Update your Stream or Status
Autopost to stream: A short excerpt and thumbnails will be posted to your wall's stream:
Autopost to status updates: Your status will be updated with a shortened link to your post:
Don't Autopost: Nothing will be sent to your stream or status
-
Update your Facebook Photo Albums
Minimum gallery size: Posts with more than this number of photos will be posted to their own albums, and the name of the album will be the title of the post. All other photo posts will be sent to the "Posterous Photos" albums.
Don't post stream story: If this box is checked, then we won't post a status or stream item if there are photos in the post. Since Facebook automatically generates a stream story when we upload to your albums, unchecking this box may result in "double posts."
