# Winners are sensitive, but never beyond a point
# Winners are candid, but only where they choose to be
# Winners do help, but would wait for it to be asked categorically, rarely would they change their course to offer unasked for services
# Winners begin with an agenda and remember that commas, semicolons, colons can come at every stage and take them in their stride. They are always watching out for periods/full-stops, forced with an unplanned full-stop, they would ensure that they walk away from the situation and would bear the cost of it
# Winners believe that there are times “when you can have your cake and it too” they enjoy these moments and never miss them when they come their way, but they always eat quietly
# Winners always know that there are more from where they themselves came, and are early to recognize one
# Winners do have their biases, but their biases are never carried on their sleeves and seldom acknowledged in these many words
# Winners do their fair share of mistakes, but they seldom drag them too far

IAB standard banner concerts for Axion. These were a 2009 winner at Cannes and a personal favorite of mine. Envious use of display ads. Well done, smartypantses at BOONDOGGLE.

Dominic's film White Lightnin' won Best Film and also Best Cinematography at the Dinard Festival of British Film. As I mentioned here in an earlier post just after I'd seen it, I loved it. This was the one interview I was keenest to shoot - I actually shot it on Friday, but was waiting until the end to post so that it would stay near the top of the blog. And then White Lightnin' won! A surprisingly bold and smart decision from the Jury. Shot with a Nokia N86 cameraphone

Norman Borlaug is dead.

That probably means nothing to most people.

But Borlaug – along with other researchers who create the Green Revolution in food production – saved between two hundred million people and one billion people, depending on how you do the math.

When Princess Diana died, television networks covered it 24/7. Michael Jackson’s passing created a tsunami of Internet traffic. I learned about Borlaug’s passing on the sidebar of a news website on global development issues in foreign policy.

I was just informed by the team at Waze that I was selected as one of the top road reporters in VA over the last month.  They are rewarding me with a little waze goodiebag as a result of my efforts.   And here I was thinking that the points system was just an intrisic reward. Ha! shut it down!
