The Sainted Virgin Working At a Pumping Station?
The opportunity to secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
--Sun Tzu
In light of the recent incident at Fort Hood I think it's time we as the West wake up and realize what we are dealing with. Our obsession with political correctness and bending our culture for every person who comes to us is finally catching up with us and threatens to destroy our society. We accept everything and everyone at face value without the slightest thought of long-term consequences.
The easiest way to explain away this terrible act of terrorism is to muse that it was committed by an over-exhausted soldier who couldn't handle the pressures of the army. But looking deeper into the matter we see that this was likely a premeditated act of hostility towards the United States and the West, in general. We've been attacked externally, but now a more troubling possibility, being destroyed from within.
We as the "enemy" of Islam are providing the opportunity for our defeat. We've accepted these people into our society and put them on a pedestal and respected each and every of their views regardless of how much they might clash with our cultural views. We tippy-toe around touchy subjects as to not offend anyone, scorning anyone who doesn't blindly go along, as intolerant.
We are slowly becoming infiltrated by radical Muslims who are ingraining their views on to impressionable youths and spreading hateful ideology while we blindly stand by doing nothing to stop them. We have built a double standard in our culture; the majority is quick to punish and make examples of Christians, who are trying to practise their faith in the public square, and label them intolerant and hateful. But when an imam used a hateful slur, last week in Toronto, no one was there to investigate the hate crime committed or condemn this hateful outburst.
The enemy has found a way to destroy our society without the use of weapons, instead through ideology and general Western complacency, to spread their hateful ideology across the globe. We need to wake up and start taking action to stop the poisoning of our culture and to apply the same rules of hate crimes to everyone! Be white, black, Christian, Muslim, whoever it may be we need one standard!

Here are my latest pieces: "Lukewarm" and "Long Walks Off Short Piers". They were pretty fun to write and play. "Lukewarm" is an idea I've been wrestling with for the better part of half a year and I finally like the way it sounds now.

Thanks a million to Tracy and Paul for giving us the chance to come and play last night. The venue was awesome, the staff were friendly, the food was great and the drinks kept flowing. Although I don't think that the rowdies in the corner were having a good enough time. I'm a little disappointed in myself for not bringing my camera and taking a few pictures. I need to remember to do that. If anyone came to the show and took some pics, please let me know - I'd love to post them.
"Set in a unique, alternate universe, it melds together elements of two disparate film genres: the grit of an urban setting with the tradition of the American Western."
