My Mac Pro's Mighty Mouse has been replaced with a Logitech Performance Mouse MX.  This mouse is extremely precise and comfortable to use.  Had my Mighty Mouse's little nubby track ball not continually gummed up, I would have continued to use it happily.  Since the mouse is completely sealed, the only way to REALLY clean it, in spite of what Apple says, is to break seals, then re-glue it after you have all the tiny little parts back in place.  After the second or third cleaning, enough was enough and after switching there's no way I could go back.

This purchase matches nicely with my Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard I bought a couple of months back.  It replaced the stock wireless keyboard that came with my pre-2008 Mac Pro - the non-aluminum, acrylic backed one.  Some of the white keys yellowed and the I found the left shift key would often stick/catch/resist if you didn't hit it dead center.  You can get the diNovo darned cheap, comparatively, from MacMall.  (I paid nearly full price for the mouse, but you can find it $10-$15 cheaper online from reputable sources.)

Hi,

We wanted to let you know about some exciting changes to your Google paid storage plan. While storage costs have dropped naturally in the past few years, we've also been working hard to improve our infrastructure to reduce your costs even further. On Tuesday, November 10th, we increased the size of each of our tiers to make storage even more affordable and accessible. For the same $20.00 per year, you’ll now get 80 GB, 8 times as much storage as before. Your current plan will be automatically upgraded and your new quota will automatically show up in your account in the next 24 hours.

We hope you’ll like the extra space, but if it’s more than you need you can always change your storage plan or renewal preferences for next year in your Google account settings: www.google.com/accounts/purchasestorage. Feel free to visit our Help Center for more information.

Thanks,
The Google storage team

1. Tijdens het weekend kunnen klanten niet inloggen op onze websites ‘Mijn Telfort Mobiel’ en ‘Zakelijk beheer’ om hun gegevens in te zien;

2. In onze winkels en bij onze dealers kunnen wél (mobiele) telefonie- en/of internet abonnementen worden gekocht maar de activering hiervan kan pas op dinsdag 10 november plaatsvinden. Abonnementen kunnen tijdens het weekend niet worden verlengd;

3. Onze Online webshops: Shop Mobiel en Shop Internet werken, alleen de ‘achterkant’ is dicht waardoor bestellingen van klanten niet meteen kunnen worden verwerkt. Wij verwerken deze klantbestellingen vanaf dinsdag 10 november;

4. Onze klantenservice is tijdens de werkzaamheden gewoon bereikbaar alleen de ‘achterkant’ van onze systemen is dicht. Dit betekent dat klanten hun gegevens niet kunnen opvragen bij onze medewerkers;

gutted.

this came around really quickly. i've got two vimeo accounts with
PLUS accounts but i just do not have £60 for the two accounts for the
next year. I'm also behind on my rackspacecloud account. things are
starting to get to me. need to find paid work, christmas is rolling
up quick as well - trying to find anything even computer related local
is near non existent. I have looked at other kinds of work but they
are for a few hours a week. bleak.

time to sleep more stuff on ebay tomorrow.

Finally getting around to upgrading my G1 to 1.6 Donut.  I'm really behind the curve since I never upgraded to 1.5 Cupcake! I'll be updating my progress as I go, starting right now around 12:30.  My goal is to finish before 2am

Update 00:36

Started backing up the current image using Nandroid, as recommended by the wiki. This was mostly brought on by the news of Android 2.0 coming out soon.

Update 00:46

Should I do a full wipe? Why not.

Update 01:02

Got distracted going through G1 pictures in iPhoto... first hiccup of the installation process - apparently my recovery utility (build JFv1.42) is so old Alt+A doesn't work as "install any zip file".  Since I had already wiped my phone, I had to find an SD card reader, rename the zip file as update.zip and now it seems to be going ok.

Update 01:11

Great, I was supposed to install both things... I don't think this will work, but I installed HTC's image first, and now I'm installing the modded one.  If this doesn't work I may have to install a different recovery utility.

Update 01:38

Ugh, things didn't go so well. I may need to go back to the original state with Nandroid.

Update 01:50

Ok, I see a new "android" loading screen, so a sigh of relief here. It's stuck at the HTC image, but at least it should boot up now and I should be able to install the better recovery utility from here and pick up from here tomorrow.

Update 03:09

Hell yeah, got it working! I now see the same Donut Android loading animation but with the cyanogenmod logo overlaid on the "o."  And now it's past 3am and I really should sleep. I'm going to wait a little while and install tethering software, then call it a night.

Update 03:20

Tethering software installed, and at 3:20, I'm calling it done: 2 hr 50 min. Going from 1.4 to 1.6, UI looks a lot smoother and just overall "nicer."  Can't wait to do this again for 2.0.
