Social Media Event: A World first National Xmas Tweetup event in Auckland

In New Zealand, we are known for our creativity, always wanting to be the world best, or the world's first. New Zealand is one of a few countries that is embracing twitter to its core, meaning as a country, especially a small country like New Zealand, we are very, very active on twitter. 

On December the 4th, New Zealand, the Nation will be holding its World First National Xmas Tweetup in Auckland,The Country will come together not only to celebrate the holiday season but also twitter and how New Zealanders been embracing it. The National Xmas Tweetup will be at Deschlers Bar, High St in Auckland. 

The Twtvite went out a more than two months ago http://twtvite.com/anxoiq and over 100 people have confirmed their RSVP. As far as we know the only country in the world to hold a National Christmas Twitter Party, hence the word "World First".

This year Tweet-ups in Auckland have prospered with monthly events attended by over 50 people. We've had tweet-ups at bars, at a park with Fish n Chips and at a Beautifully restored restaurant to mention a few. This offline networking has created many wonderful relationships, helped businesses flourish and entertained many.

@GoodtoGrill @AndyBumatai & SOS TweetUp

Twitter couple @sharts02, in real life Shar and Art from Kaua`i, joined several O`ahu Tweeters to check out @AndyBumatai's comedy show. 

It was Andy's last scheduled night to open for the Society of Seven show at the showroom in the Outrigger Waikiki they have performed at for about 30 years! 

The group that performed was the 2nd generation, some of them sons of original SOS members.

We Tweeters were looking forward to supporting our fellow Tweetipal Andy and welcoming @Sharts02 to O`ahu, TweetUp style!

We met for dinner @GoodtoGrill on Kapahulu Boulevard in the new Safeway complex.  In Hawaii, a place is called "New" for about 10 years!  Hahaha!

The performers were so funny at how they reacted and incorporated the "positive heckling" into their routines!  Professional class acts, all!

I found a tweet on Twitter about a week ago which attracted me a lot. It was the one says @ejang is setting up a tweetup with @joycekim, who is the founder of Soompi.com, a Korean entertainment online community.

Back to mountain tops - sinhgad tweetup

If I reconnect with myself truly in all of the natural aspect of world then they have to be mountain tops. Today, I got the chance to be back on the mountain top. Loved it, lived it.

P.S I wanted to write about my association with mountains a little more, but words failed me. So maybe some other time when I am not overwhelmed by mere thoughts of them.

interesting what you find in the national forest

few more last minute meetings between me and emma planned before next Saturday but it should make for a fantastic day and start to our tweetup in the heart of the national forest.

LA dreammm team is in the house

I met Joel Mackey, Calvin Lee, Louie Baur & Ryan Orrico right after E3 in LA this year.
