10 iPhone apps to stuff your stocking ...
If your holiday shopping includes iPhone apps, here are 10 I find indispensable (well, one is just kind of fun!). They're listed in alpha order ~ with the "fun" one last.

AP Stylebook
$29
Even though I'm an old Unipresser (UPI for those uninitiated), the AP Stylebook remains the bible of journalistic style. My marketing & PR team follows AP style and it's great to be able to have the book with me at all times.

AutoStitch
$2
AutoStitch is just amazing. Here's proof: http://jimrattray.posterous.com/watch-hill-sunset-pano.

iBank
$5
Simply the best and easiest app to manage your bank accounts ~ and it syncs flawlessly with its Mac app ($60; $10 instant rebate right now).

NPR News
Free
I get most of my key NPR shows via podcast, but this is my go-to news app to catch up and listen.

Photo fx
$3
I almost never post an iPhone photo without first processing it through Tiffen's Photo fx. There's no limit to how creative you can get!

SnowReports
$2
It's just about ski season. I've also have Snow Report by The North Face (free), but SnowReports gives the best quick-glance overview of conditions.

Surf Report
Free
We live at the beach. This app from Oakley is awesome!

Things
$10
Things keeps my busy work and personal life all tidy by syncing with Things for Mac ($50).

Tweetie 2
$3
There's no better Twitter client. Tweetie handles multiple accounts brilliantly. If you need convincing, check out Don McAllister's ScreenCastsOnline how-to video (http://www.screencastsonline.com/index_files/sco0227-twitter.php). Even if you already own Tweetie 2, I promise you'll learn a few new tricks!
And just for fun ...

Balloons!
$1
My daughter and I love this! It's addictive to see where in the world your random balloon messages will get caught!
