Ever since i got onto tumblr and found out about allison weiss from the default music player on the test theme pages (great exposure btw to get featured like that) i have loved her music, passion and small content producer spirit that she has. she really is a one woman army and i love her track 'i'm ready' from one of her previous albums. she has the new album out now 'was right all along' and i'm looking forward to picking that up when i have the fundage to grab it!
Stay tuned. Egy kis móka a végére tegnapról:
In today's world, and with the speed of technology, users across the Socio-sphere have a bevy of tools and utilities at their disposal. The questions that resonate are often which of these are best suited to me, what purposes do I need them to fullfil, and can they do what I need or want them to do. And so enters the user's trial runner stage. A time where users want to match up and pitch similar tools up against each to see which triumphs, and which will become a home to great social content.
This is where I am going to assess Posterous against Tumblr in my own personal capacity after reading oodles of write-ups and reviews on both.Today was very lazy for me. Work was alright, then I mostly played games after getting home (COD: MW2 and Uncharted 2, in case you were wondering.) and started thinking about this whole lifestreaming thing. So, I've decided I'm going to try out Tumblr. It seems like a good way to share stuff I think is cool, as well as bringing together all my social media profiles, including Twitter and Last.FM.
I'm going to pick out a nice theme and make it all bright and bonny as well.
Posterous will still be my main place for more personal stuff, but I'm going to set it up so it automatically posts to Tumblr (in fact, this should be the first post to do so). I have to pick a theme and everything, but I'll be so happy if it works properly. However, I'm going to keep Facebook away from it, for the most part. That's more for "real-life" friend stuff. Oh, and Cafe World.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. My main man Gav is coming round so I can discuss my ideas for the site with him and see how much of it we can do ourselves. I really want to be up and running by the end of the year, but I fear it'll be too late for the multitude of "Best of the decade" articles I was planning on having. Bah. Never mind.
That'll do it for the noo. Hope to catch you all on Tumblr very soon.

It's really, *REALLY hard to believe that Sarah (Crawford) and I will be married this Saturday! Ours is a funny story, the details of which I'll get into at another time, in another post and perhaps on another blog. For now, I want to let the world know - WHY?
When we first "met" (on Facebook, actually we already knew each other, I promise to post the whole story later) Sarah and I both felt like there was something special between us. We spent our time "together" on Facebook, GoogleTalk/Video and on the phone. We were able to see and hear one another, but we couldn't touch. I had always believed that touching someone made all the difference, now I know that's not necessarily the case, at least not for us.
I used to tell Sarah, "This is our fairytale." I dreamed that life together would be...well, perfect. It turns out that life throws FAST, curve balls, hard and neither of us was prepared. I'm happy, proud and elated to report that we're fine and we've weathered MANY storms together.
Okay, back to the question - WHY?
I am marrying Sarah Crawford because...
...she believes in me, even when I don't believe in myself.
...she forgives me when I make mistakes, and forgives again, and again...and again.
...she's there for me when I'm sick, hungry, tired, needy, clingy, angry, sad, happy.
...she's beautiful.
...she makes me feel so good [about myself] through compliments and encouragement.
...she's trusting - she trusts me.
...she stands by me in any [and every (crazy)] decision I make.
...she's willing to let me try new things, even when she might not understand my reason for so doing.
...she loves Jennifer (my daughter).
...she has faith that I'll meet her needs, and provide for our family in the way that our family needs.
...she's an excellent cook.
...she truly loves me, unconditionally.
...she's willing to do whatever it takes to make this marriage, our life together - work!
That's why I love Sarah (Crawford). (Visit our tumblog here - http://bruington.tumblr.com)
I love you Sarah. I hope after reading this you know how much I love, and care about you. I'm so grateful to have you in my life. I smile when I think of all the fun times we've had together. I look forward to many days, weeks, months, years ahead with you, and our family.
