Fall has finally arrived in Texas. When I woke up this morning and felt the cold tile against my toes, I knew it was time to roll out the winter clothes.

MochaDad took N, our 6-year-old, clothes shopping over the summer, so he had plenty to choose from. I laid out jeans with a plaid button down shirt and an undershirt for him. He grabbed a jacket and was good to go. (Of course he shed said jacket as soon as he spotted his friends at the bus stop).

After school, N decided it was time to get more comfortable and began unbuttoning his shirt.

"I can wear just my undershirt like Daddy does," he informed me. It was true that his dad's after-work-casual look involved his T-shirt (not a sleeveless one, thank you) and dress pants or sleep pants depending on how rough the day was.

I smiled. "You do look like your dad in your shirt and T-shirt." N stuck out his chest and stopped unbuttoning.

When MochaDad finally arrived home, N rushed to meet him at the door. "Hey, Daddy, let's take off our shirts together."

"Wait a second, son," MochaDad said, seemingly recognizing the importance to N.

Soon they had both unbuttoned their shirts, but MochaDad wanted a picture before they stripped down to their matching T-shirts.

Though our toddler X wasn't in "Daddy uniform," he squeezed into the picture as well. He didn't want to miss out on this special father-son moment.

Blessings,
KayEm

This is a great example of the "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade" idea.
I love how the idea comes full circle. You can help him afford to live in new york by buying this shirt.
(I gotta say that I liked his previous image a lot better).
