Was down in NYC this weekend and in the course of conversation over dinner with @michaelrad and @daverad they brought up AirBnB, which of late has been serving as a supplemental income during the get-up-and-go phase of their start-up. First time I had heard of this site -- similar in many respects to couchsurfing.com, of which I can only give the highest praise, but which differs in one crucial way: AirBnB is a paid service while couchsurfing is meant to be free. The result is a more hotel-esque experience, at, as the picture suggests, as low as $25 dollars a night. Mike and Dave had actually been featured in a Washington Post article...
I didn't use the service this time -- happen to have some good friends in NYC already -- but should I ever make a trip to DC or Chicago as I keep meaning to do then I plan to at least give this site a fair shake. Best way to visit any city is from the perspective of a local, and no concierge, no matter how good, can really replicate that.
Sehr ausgewogen also.
i went to london a couple months ago. here are some of the photos of my feet from the trip. the first one is standing on the platform for the train station. then two shots from the london eye and two outside the tower of london. mr paris met me there and we went shoe shopping. i also looked around at universities to attend after i'm done with my bachelor's degree in portland. i'm also considered LA, New York, Seattle, Chicago, Spain, Japan, Australia and many more. i love traveling so i plan to do as much as possible! ;)
And of course I stopped to get a sausage dog. Sausage is made right here - from slaughter to bun

Amin..
