It's All Floating Around Up There Up Above The Eyes

Click

I have been working on the book most of the evening and feel like I have kind of run out of words for the day. Well, maybe not ran out of them but more of ran out of the ability to piece them together in any way that might be worth a damn. I suppose it is a good thing that I have the paints. I guess as long as I don't have painter's block and writer's block on the same day, it will all turn out just fine. Either way, everything is a bit scrambled up top and everything is floating around up there above the eyes and I suppose it all works it way out of there sometime and somehow but until then I guess it just this painting and these words....Enjoy!

Yes. Blame the friggin' enrollment. I still have to go back to school tomorrow to submit a form and pay for stuff. Boo.

Thanks to my college friends who helped me with the enrollment and everything. I sure am going to miss them. >:D<

Went to noma with A. I felt kind of bad 'cause I have to go home early because I'm f-ing tired(and so as the title says).

Consciousness isn't really my thing currently. I'm on it's threshold. I've been here for days. As a result, I haven't maintained any route and have eaten constantly. My stomach's temperament osculates much like sense of balance. I'm lazy so here's a list instead of a more articulate description.

  • 1 hour sleep/26h
  • 12h riding around western NY (geneseo, oswego, syracuse) with Rose's XC meet as pretense
    • Sarah is uniquely positioned to irritate me
    • forget ithica, Lynchwood park (home to the  grand canyon of the west) is gorgeous even despite all the wedding nonsense
    • set to do the same for souther NY tomorrow (Kat's Rugby game)
  • finally fixed WRT54Gv8 -> ddwrt (via unusual suspect)
  • analyzed time spent with white noise thought (as regretfully grounded in social conquest)
  • very pleased with the aesthetic brought by a hung empty picture frame
  • ie4linux brings ie6 to my desktop and reviles to me just how terrible 121 renders :(
  • hit EMS and LL Bean:
    • disappointed at consumerist motivation: clearance sucker is a hereditary trait
    • seeing the objects of outdoor actions further built regret around my aimlessness/listlessness.
I still don't want to sleep. I want to be rested; I want to be within circadian normalcy. But I don't want to put my head horizontal and surrender the illusion of the capacity for productivity. Odd.

You might imagine I would have worked out how much sleep I need to survive on by now, wouldn't you. You would also be wrong.

I vaguely remember looking at the clock at 3am this morning, shortly before my body decided it was ceasing activities for the day (or rather the next day). I believe I was listening to Newton Faulkner at the time on the Nano, having just decided that "This Week in Fun" was the most annoying podcast I had ever tried - I guess I just don't get certain shades of American humour.

I wonder how much coffee will be required to keep my eyes open throughout the day? I also wonder how I'm going to get through the remainder of the week - each day will be spent commuting to client projects in the early hours, and returning late - and then of course I will face the inevitable mixture of chaos and mayhem at home.

If you're wondring what I was up to until the early hours of this morning, go take a look at "Chicken and Cheese" http://www.mychickencheese.com - it's the personal blog of a journalist that I'm proud call a friend.

I LOVE this song. I think it is stuck in my head almost 24/7. lol

Lyrics:

Verse 1
Drifting aimlessly, squandering foolishly
Everything I had left to my name
Traveling to and fro, but the way I chose
Would soon leave me lost and so ashamed
I’ve had my share of lonely days and dark, dark nights
But I finally see the light

Chorus
I’m so tired, (tired, tired) of running
Oh, sweet Lord, (Lord, Lord) I’m coming
Home to you, (you, you)
My wandering days are through
Won’t you please, (please, please) forgive me
On my knees, (knees, knees) I’m living
Until you redeem, (deem, deem) the sinning I won’t move
Lord, I’m done and tired of running

Verse 2
Now I finally see the path He’s laid for me
And it looks so much different than before
All those times I’d roamed feeling all alone
Could not add up to what He had in store
Just like me one day you’ll claim the victory
If with a willing heart you’ll plea
