Be Open MindedWe’ve all encountered closed-minded people before. Those stubborn people who hang onto their beliefs even when they can plainly see that it’s all crashing down around them. They don’t entertain any new concepts even if they can see the truth in that new concept.
Open mindedness unlocks avenues that we have not walked before. It allows us to experience new things, live adventures, taste new food, and see the world in a different light. It allows us to connect with people from different cultures with practices and courtesies unfamiliar to us. And in a business sense, it allows us to see opportunities, good opportunities.
How many times have you seen a business opportunity that was very lucrative but failed to act since it is different from what you know? It could have been an opportunity that was waiting only for you to take it, yet you let it pass you by. It happens to a lot of people, people who close their minds to something new.
An example of this is the business model of franchising. If Ray Kroc, the owner of McDonald’s had only stuck to one restaurant where would he be now? Instead he opened up his mind and opened the biggest hamburger franchise in the world today earning millions of dollars of passive income for him and his family.
Ideas such as passive income, financial freedom, and financial literacy are alien terms to a lot of people. Passive income, which is income coming in even if you don’t work can sound strange, even impossible to some people. But it’s out there, it’s real. Business owners have it. Musicians and authors have it from royalties. It’s possible. You only have to open your mind to that opportunity.
