Well actually to Old Trail, located in Crozet Virginia.
The town center has opened and Segway is open too! Located in the Old Trail town center.
This is great!
If you have read my blog regarding real estate and the Charlottesville and Crozet area, you already know that this development has both sidewalks and trails.
Many people have already discovered that Segway PT’s are a fun, ultra-economical and environmentally friendly way for today’s urban commuter to get around town!
Not to mention GOLF!!!
We are already seeing folks zipping along on their Segway with ZERO emissions!
Have you seen the off-road versions of the Segway?
What fun! I want one too!!!

It was a hot day yesterday so I thought we would cool off a bit with some Segway Racing. This is me racing with Sophie and Jordan. For some reason we had to put ons some extremely fashionable hairnets before we could wear the helmets. A group of Japanese tourists got some great pictures of me in a hairnet.
I'm constantly amazed at why Segway gets so much publicity. They introduced their latest invention, the P.U.M.A., a collaboration with GM. It's basically a Segway with beefed up performance, two seats, and a windshield. I'm sure it's an amazing feat of engineering and that very intelligent people got together to build a very complex "thing". But the point here is who will use this? I remember when the Segway PT came out 8 years ago with much fanfare and hype. Fast forward to today, the only Segway PTs I see are at the Segway rental shop next to a pho restaurant in East Oakland (perfect location!). It seems that people got enamored with technology without making it functional. Just because we have the ability to build it, doesn't mean we should. Also, great to know that GM is involved. Obviously, they have nothing better to do, right?
And you ask... what does this video have to do with marketing?
Well, perhaps very little, but it sure is viral. Who needs an internet marketing consultant with a big bag of strategies when you can just get a monkey and a Segway?
