crunchbang und ich...
nachdem mein neuer laptop wie berichtet gerade repariert wird, arbeite ich im moment hauptsächlich auf meinem acer aspire one-netbook. als optimale distro für dieses und meine anforderungen daran hat sich schon vor einiger zeit crunchbang-linux herausgestellt.
obwohl crunchbang von haus aus schon ziemlich komplett ist und auch optisch einen gewissen style hat, waren einige kleine änderungen nötig, damit ich mich darauf 100 % zu hause fühle:
abiword ist nicht schlecht, über einen längeren zeitraum hinweg schreibe ich aber lieber im openoffice-writer. dessen installation war aufgrund der kompabilität zu den ubuntu-repositories ziemlich unkompliziert. die nötige eintragung im openbox-menü war ebenfalls schnell erledigt. anfänglich hatte ich ein kleines problem mit der darstellung - alles im writer wirkte etwas unproportional - nach fünf minuten war aber auch dieses gelöst.
die .conkyrc habe ich neu geschrieben, einzig die shortcuts habe ich übernommen.
Die konfiguration des tint2-panels habe ich anfänglich mittels tintwizard versucht, hatte aber dann doch mehr spaß daran, das ganze in gedit zu erledigen: die umrandung umfasst jetzt das komplette panel, die tasks werden jetzt als text anstatt als icon angezeigt, die farbe des aktiven tasks passt zur farbe der fenster und das panel schließt rechts auf einer linie mit dem conky-text ab. Außerdem können geöffnete programme mit einem simplen rechtsklick im panel geschlossen werden.
alles in allem hatte ich bisher schon sehr viel spaß mit meinem netbook. je nachdem, wie lange die reparatur meines haupt-laptops noch dauert, werden wohl noch einige änderungen folgen. geplant ist vorerst ein selbst erstelltes wallpaper – screenshots folgen bei fertigstellung.
comparing typepads to posterous' bookmarklet
Yesterday posterous updated it's bookmarklet with an enhanced tagging functionality. That's a neat timesaver! But thinking about the bookmarklet i am still missing one thing that I just saw TypoPad has.
In the settings you can choose which sites to post to by default and when using the bookmarklet you can check each one of these sites, no need to uncheck "autopost everywhere" all the time.
Why do i need that? I am saving stuff i like in my other posterous (assbachbm).
Sometimes i
want to add these bookmarks to delicious as well, or maybe even to twitter, facebook and delicious. But not always all of them, you see?
