This is a love song for Pluto.
Pluto the dwarf planet, I think.
A love song for the cartoon dog wouldn't sound anything like this.
Nor would one for the Roman god of "certain metals and fish" (and, eventually, the underworld).
Galactic Love Song is track 2 on Kingdom Come,* the first album from Dirt Circle Dogs. Their bass player is a hippie poet geek. Most likely the rest of the band falls into that category as well.
*Worth a click, if not for the music, then at least for the introduction to CD Baby, which you'll love.
