Film for NZ Book Council. Print may be dead, but paper is alive in this lovely stop-motion animation for the New Zealand Book Council which runs readings and festivals throughout the NZ. The organisation has worked with Colenso BBDO and Andersen M Studio to produce a 2 minute promotion based on Maurice Gee’s 1993 novel, “Going West”.

Folded from one piece of paper - quite amazing.

I've always been a fan of origami - I have a few books on it at home. I usually get lost when following along, but it doesn't bother me.

Sadly these 1:1 models designed by PostlerFerguson don't function as real weapons, but thankfully they're readily available without a firearms licence.  I think the most damage they're able to inflict is a mildly painful papercut.  Priced at $30-35US, they're a great present for the creative psychopath.  They're pretty much awesome.

Available soon from gestalten.com or amazon.com

"These are a couple of fun paper projects that I’ve been working on, “Explode” and “Erode,” I tried to use the possible dimension of paper to simulate action with typography. I custom made the typeface and used only Fabriano Tiziano 40% acid free pastel paper and white map tacks and of course Mr. Handy Exacto."
