Here are pictures of rooms we haven't changed since closing along with
an outside shot of our backyard. Please excuse my amateur
photography skills :)

Looking for an activity to play with the kiddies this weekend. And get lots
of giggles. This DIY game of Velcro Catch Ball is super fun and super
affordable. Using winter knit gloves and Velcro balls, little hands never
had it so easy in a game of catch.
What you need:
Winter knit gloves the cheap kind
Velcro with sticky back circles are best
Plastic round balls ping pong balls or Wiffle balls

1.Place Velcro stickers onto each plastic ball. You'll only be using the
hard "hook" half of the Velcro (we'll have to come up with another use for
the fuzzy, soft half). Try to place them evenly. I used 6 circular Velcro
stickers on each ball; I wanted to make sure my daughter could catch it, so
the more Velcro the better.

2. Now it's time to play catch. Only use one glove at a time. One pair of
gloves will be enough for 2 people to play catch. One gloved hand can catch
the Velcro ball and one bare hand can pull it off and throw it back.

I am finally hitting the trails this weekend with my friend Andrew.  He is bring his camera so there will be some pictures when we get back.

We are headed to the Land Between the Lakes (LBL).  We will be hiking the trail system Fort Henry Trails.  There are a total of 29.3 miles of trails and 250+ feet change in elevation.

I am looking forward to hitting the trails and will let you all know how it all turns out.

You and your kids can now be "green thumbs" with these great gardening kits. Plus, you kids will learn some valuable lessons about where and how their food is grown.

As I said a few days ago my friend, Andrew, was coming down to visit for the weekend. He, Alee and I went camping tonight (actually I'm in my tent writing this right now). Now we are trying to go to sleep but it is a bit windy for me.

This first picture is of a frog that I found on my bag. It jumped onto my monkey man jacket.

The next two are of my great cooking skills. We had fire roasted pita pizzas. They are one of my specalties.

This last picture shows how creative Alee is. Because it was so windy she made a barrier to keep the wind away from the fire. She is awesome!

Needless to say, we have had a fun time so far. We just hope it doesn't rain anymore than the sprinkles we got earlier.

I was browsing through some of my pictures and I found this one of Zac, Andrew, Michael and me on a backpacking trip the summer of '08.  Oh, how I miss the trips that we used to go on.  I have so many memories of our trips to the backcountry (Knob Stone, Cranberry Wilderness, and the RRG).  I really miss being outside hiking and camping.  Andrew is coming in this weekend and we are going comping.  I haven't been in a while so it will be a nice change in my routine.

Starting this weekend I want to get out more and do more outside.  The wonderful Lord gave us His backcountry to play in, so I might as well do it while I am on this earth.  Hopefully our schedules work out so that over the Thanksgiving break Zac, Andrew and I can get back to the RRG at least for 1 night.
