I-Open interviews help us to understand the results of economic shifts affecting each of us in our work and lives. Interviews offer anyone the chance to learn what other people are discovering in their daily work and what their insights and discoveries mean to each of us.
Interviews are contributed to I-Open by people donating time and effort, stopping from busy schedules and the demands of their own work, for the purpose of sharing deep learning. I-Open publishes the video interviews and their transcriptions under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License - anyone is free to share but with Attribution to the inteviewee and I-Open. More.
I-Open interviews are rich in tacit knowledge and come from a personal point of view. They're storytelling about insight and innovation through the lens of the Innovation Framework - a guide for sustainable investment in education, economic, and workforce development.
Gathering the best from theoretical and practical research across diverse sectors - health care, the creative industries, technology, business development, to name a few - interviews strengthen the understanding and practice of network building, collaborative leadership and Strategic Doing - a simple, but disciplined process for moving ideas to action quickly.
Each video is like a personal conversation with a trusted friend or colleague, offering a big to little picture guide from people taking their best shot everyday. Some information you'll use directly and some ideas may create an Ah, hah! moment for your own work.
Readers can skim, thoroughly read, or re-read interviewee's transcribed first-hand reflections, insights, and stories of innovation. You can download transcriptions or subscribe to updates from I-Open's Scribd page here.
What you'll discover over time, as you watch the videos and read their transcriptions we'll be posting here and to I-Open, are the similarities we all share. You'll be reminded of your own ideas and insights, those of your colleagues and friends, not one better than another, all valuable, but all lessened by a lack of social capital and connection to resources and capabilities. So, take the time to learn from, meet and connect with generous people like yourself and reflect on their insightful stories. Let these insights influence your next conversation - we'll all be better connected for it, and smarter, too!Learn more about I-Open interview and conversation research.
