With a new enthusiasm, may we go forward and give all Americans a health care system they deserve.

Thank you to Representative Cao (R-LA), for adding that bipartisan touch to this evening's House bill. Your vote was important to your constituents and Americans beyond your district's borders.

And though, I'm a little upset by how women's rights were pushed under the rug for this evening's passage of "Affordable Health Care for America Act", I have to accept that compromise was necessary and that this is just another call to action. Representative DeLauro (D-CT) said it best when she commented...

“Abortion is a matter of conscience on both sides of the debate; this amendment takes away that same freedom of conscience from America’s women. It prohibits them from access to an abortion even if they pay for it with their own money. It invades women’s personal decisions.”

Additional thanks and praise to the comments on the House floor made by Representatives Schakowsky (D-IL), Capps (D-CA) and DeGette (D-CO).

Thank you for standing up for American women and their right to decide.

The end.

Subject: Making history

This evening, at 11:15 p.m., the House of Representatives voted to pass their health insurance reform bill. Despite countless attempts over nearly a century, no chamber of Congress has ever before passed comprehensive health reform. This is history.

But you and millions of your fellow Organizing for America supporters didn't just witness history tonight -- you helped make it. Each "yes" vote was a brave stand, backed up by countless hours of knocking on doors, outreach in town halls and town squares, millions of signatures, and hundreds of thousands of calls. You stood up. You spoke up. And you were heard.

So this is a night to celebrate -- but not to rest. Those who voted for reform deserve our thanks, and the next phase of this fight has already begun.

The final Senate bill hasn't even been released yet, but the insurance companies are already pressing hard for a filibuster to bury it. OFA has built a massive neighborhood-by-neighborhood operation to bring people's voices to Congress, and tonight we saw the results. But the coming days will put our efforts to the ultimate test. Winning will require each of us to give everything we can, starting right now.

Please donate $5 or whatever you can afford so we can finish this fight.

Tonight's vote brought every American closer to the secure, affordable care we need. But it was also a watershed moment in how change is made.

Even after last year's election, many insider lobbyists and partisan operatives really thought that the old formula of scare tactics, D.C. back-scratching and special-interest money would still be enough to block any idea they didn't like. Now, they're desperate. Because, tonight, you made it crystal clear: the old rules are changing -- and the people will not be ignored.

In the final phases of last year's election, I often reminded folks, "Don't think for a minute that power concedes without a fight," and it's especially true today. But that's okay -- we're not afraid of a fight. And as you continue to prove, when all of us work together, we have what it takes to win.

Please donate to OFA's campaign to win this fight and ensure that real health reform reaches my desk by the end of this year:

There's a chain email going around claiming that "taxpayer money is being redistributed to welfare recipients for free cell phones."

I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his "Obama phone."

I asked him what an "Obama phone" was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES.. This program was started earlier this year. Enough is enough, the ship is sinking and it’s sinking fast. The very foundations that this country was built on are being shaken. The age-old concepts of God, family, and hard work have flown out the window and are being replaced with "Hope and Change" and "Change we can believe in." You can click on the link below to read more about the "Obama phone"…just have a barf bag ready. https://www.safelinkwireless.com/EnrollmentPublic/home.aspx Google: Safelink Wireless

As it turns out (big surprise), you shouldn't believe everything you read in chain emails.  I'm looking at those of you who keep propagating this falsity, like the Facebook user who posted this message:

So apparently cell phones are no longer a luxury but a necessity and our tax dollars are now being used to provide free cell phones plus 70 min. of talk time a month to anyone receiving food stamps, federal public housing assistance, or medicaid! Including free rollover minutes, call waiting, and voicemail. (just see... link below!) I mean seriously?!! And we wonder why the government is going broke . . . where are the handouts for broke law students?

If you spent just two minutes of your time to check the validity of these claims, you'd find out that this chain email is completely false!  As FactCheck.org puts it:

Low income households have been eligible for discounted telephone service for more than a decade.  But the program is funded by telecom companies, not by taxes, and the president has nothing to do with it.

Now, I'll admit, the SafeLink website makes a somewhat misleading claim that it is "government supported."  As it turns out, the government does support the program, but not financially.  The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) was created as part of the 1996 Telecommunications Act to administer the Universal Service Fund (USF), which provides financial backing for companies like SafeLink.  Telecom companies are the only contributors to this fund.

To summarize, this program is 1) not financed with taxes, 2) not created by Obama, and 3) not replacing your God or family in any way.  You are despicable if you knowingly pass on false information, and you are stupid if you believe this chain email without validating its claims.

Obama: Tribal Nations Conference Just a Start

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Fulfilling a campaign pledge, President Obama welcomed nearly 400 tribal leaders to his White House Tribal Nations Conference on Thursday and assured them that his support of Native issues is genuine and his historic summit is no mere "lip service" to Indian Country.

welcome blogstalkers and folks alike! today ive got some thoughtsi  want to impart on ya... the chat logs that you may or may not have read, depending on who viewed what, weren ot at all fabricated. i was genuinely concerned for bradleys well being,  and i thought that he HAD offed himself. not something i joke about when it comes to friends.  now i have my critics as everyone else does, but those of you who are SUPPOSEDLY close to him, cant seem to really get a grasp on what thel ittle dudes going through.

he wants love, he wants true friendship not "oh lets hang out with him because he has something that we want." no. thats not how friendship works. at all. friendship is all about trust, and you have to ask yourselves, however small minded you prats are is none of my concern. you have to ask yourself what your main purpose in life is. a serious question for those of us with an actual plan in life.

bradley, if your checking this out,  i want you to know that i accept you for you as a person, a human being with thoughts and feelings. hopes and esires, fears and doubts. i accept you for what you think, feel, and say. i want you to know that everything that you think is against you, is actually for you. remember this addage "what does not kill you makes you stronger." this has served me well over the past ten years.

for the rest of you, do the guy a favor and let go of the fucking grudge you hold against scott. so what if hes a dork, hes cool in my book, although a bit.... letsj ust leave it at hes cool. you should be ashamed of yourselves not being the one that bradley turned to in his time of need. i am glad to have the conversation, and try to help out if i can, but seriously!

the time of your small minded, ass hat like behaviour has to end sometime. we all almost lost an awesome person, who needs our support now more then ever because of what hes going through. each must do their own part in order for the whole to be complete. thats all im saying on the matter.

anotehr things thats bothering me is twisted wood, or as im referring to him now TW. i cant call him TB because that names already given to another person. the fact that i had to mark TW as spam because i didnt want to deal with his dumbass, showed me the real reason why stalkers shouldnt be given attention. BECAUSE THEY WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE AFTER THAT! ok, that was going a little too far on that subject, but never the less its all good.

last night, although i couldve kept thel ittle fun fest going for another couple of emails, i was already swamped with work for some projects.  it only went to two emails, maybe three.. yeah it was three, and hten i ended it, marked TW as spam, and then converted our little conversation into a story and posted it somewhere on the net. i have to remember to try expand that particular sites reach by two or three. but ill cross that bridge when i come to it.

i also found out that i have a stalker fan club. which means they are really devoted to annoying the crap out of me. which they can try to do all they want, i just dont give a shit one way or another. as far as i am concerned, its just something to occupy my time with. lessee... so far there hauptman111, which im positve is just brian being al ittle bitch... or maybe its just his women being the little ***** at this point, i stopped worrying about it. then theres of course twisted wood, and after that came bill.... noooo... not big bill, little bill. andi m not talking about the nick junior cosby toon.

between these three, an army of cheese dodles, and a little cabana mouse, i think they just might take over fox news, which is the actuall intelligence level their acting like they have at the moment.

another thing... albiet kinda sucks it had to be in this order, was getting drawings done and scanned i for a project im doing the art for. im pretty psyched about it, and cant wait for what she wants me to draw next. what then ame of the project? ill never tell!

mwa ha ha ha... evil laughter all around. that being said, i cna now feel free to say the following, why? because i just the fuck can. so deal.

shallow people piss me off.

there, ive said it.
