Report: Tesla IPO “Coming Soon”
Tesla Motors is on the verge of going public.
So says Reuters, citing two sources “familiar with the matter” who say an IPO filing from Tesla is coming any day now. No one’s offering specifics on when or how, but as Reuters notes, an initial public offering can take months. Tesla Motors has never commented publicly on IPO rumors and isn’t starting now.
“We don’t comment on rumor and speculation,” said company spokesman Ricardo Reyes.
That said, CEO Elon Musk said early last year that an IPO could come in 2008 or 2009. And he’s undoubtedly watched battery company A123 Systems, which saw its stock climb 50 percent on its first day of trading on Sept. 25. That company saw its third-quarter revenue exceed expectations but A123 still posted a loss.

Hey... just testing out posterous.. I might... just might move here from Livejournal/Wordpress.. this is much easier.. I will still explore features here.. And possible update this everyday utilizing Microsoft Outlook.. fast simple easy!
Waiting For Flapjack - the soundtrack
Finally recorded something I like! Yay!
It's a pretty low res recording, cos I did it on my Nokia N97, just using the voice recorder, but given that, it's actually pretty good :) The loop was recorded and I was playing over it, then decided to record it, so I stopped it, hit record and re-triggered the loop. Everything else is as I played it... Enjoy - this is the sound of waiting. :)

Ever wondered this? Who are you on SlideShare?
Well till recently, we gave everyone the same kind of account (i.e. the default/normal account). So if you were a teacher, a university, a company or a lone user, you had to use the same account type (and have to specify your gender & DOB as well!) Not any more. We have released 7 new types of accounts. This was preceeded by an exhaustive research exercise we undertook to understand our community. And the research indicated that these seven types of accounts (along with the default/standard one that has always existed) should cover the main sub-sections of SlideShare users.
Account types are free, off course. If you want to change our account type, just log into your SlideShare account, change your account types, fill out the options and you are all set to show the world WHO YOU ARE.
Why are we doing this? SlideShare has grown into a vibrant community and (behind the scenes) we are building custom features for different accounts. As and when these features are launched, we want you to best positioned to leverage on them.

Here are the seven new account types for your quick reference:
Company: The Company account type is meant for professional organisations & firms.
Non Profit/Gov: The Non Profit/Gov account type is meant for non profit institutions, non government organisations, central or provincial governments (or government departments) etc.University/School: The University/School account type is meant for educational organisations - schools, universities, colleges, classrooms, educational institutions.
AD/PR/Marketing Agency: The AD / PR / Marketing Agency account type is meant for firms dealing in advertising, public relations, marketing etc.Professional Speaker: The Professional Speaker account type is meant for people who speak frequently at conferences, seminars, events etc.
Presentation Design Firm: The Presentation Design Firm account type is meant for professional firms dealing in presentation design services, trainings etc
Event Organiser: The Event Organiser account type is meant for professional firms that organise events, conferences, trade shows etc.Let us know what you thought of this new release.

After logging into Twitter just now, I realized that Twitter has a great new 'retweet' feature. 'Retweeting' is the equivalent of 'reblogging', which is simply the act of recycling an old post that someone else made that you like enough to share with people who are following you.
It's good to see that Twitter is finally getting better.
