What's a trip to the Big Island without a stop at the Volcano Park?
The volcano park has tons of great educational exhibits – and is one BIG exhibit you can drive thru, walk thru and explore! From walking thru lava tubes to hiking the trail of devastation, this is one awesome park and a tribute to the awesome power of a volcano. So amazing that the Hawaiian Islands were formed via these same volcanoes! As I mentioned, you can't see hot flowing lava at the park unless you walk a couple hundred miles from the end of the road towards the coast. Take a helicopter tour and you can see the lavaflow from the sky. Don't forget your sunscreen and definitely bring your camera! Hawaiia Volcanoes National Park:|

I will be leaving National City Bank today. I was going to stick it out and stay with them until they switched to PNC, but they are filthy thieves!
On July 27th I had two overdraft charges of $36; one charge per item (the items added up to a total of $15). On July 29th I called the bank and talked to a lady for 30 minutes; she did nothing to help me. But at this time, after transferring money from my savings account, the amount of money in my checking account was $141. It looked as though everything would be covered.
Today is July 31st. I log on to my online banking account to see that I am $231 overdrawn! I'm thinking, what the fuck? I haven't spent that much money all month! I look at my account activity. I find not two, not three, not four, but five overdraft fees! The reason I was in the hole in the first place was because of overdraft fees. And now, I just got another $180 in overdraft fees, thus totalling the amount of overdraft fees I received this week to $252! Those fucking crooks!
I take responsibility for my actions. I was being irresponsible. I especially took responsibility for the first two overdraft charges. I should have kept a check register, but all that aside, they basically laundered $250 of my hard earned money.
I called the bank again today. The lady tells me I can do an overdraft protection plan in which I link my savings and my checking so that National City can take the money out of that instead. I asked how much it costs. She tells me it's free, but if I overdraft, they charge $15 for the transfer. Obviously I accepted, but it's still a joke. And on top of that, why the hell didn't the other lady tell me about this!? Oh, and the lady I talked to today was able to refund me a whopping $12 (for God knows what).
This is absurd; $252! Goodbye National City Bank.

Hannah had the opportunity to travel around regional New South Wales (NSW) to many Indigenous communities and met Indigenous Pastors in two very remote communities. She also learnt that her late father was known amongst the local community members.
Hannah highlights ministry needs of two communities that Beyond Northside might consider supporting in a future project:
Both the Saulo's and Lawrence's would be happy to travel to Sydney to share more about their ministries. Hannah is also glad to share further as well. |
