I am usually an especial advocate of print design rather than motion graphics, but that doesn't stop me noticing beautiful examples of it. Have you seen the film Stranger Than Fiction? It stars Will Ferrell (wait, hear me out) and Emma Thompson and the earlier scenes are overlaid with some really elegant typography (its diagramatical precision perfectly communicates the lead character's OCD tendencies). You can watch a clip of the brilliant opening sequence here: http://media2.mk12.com/v5_qt_html/2007/stf_opening_sequence.html  The design is by Kansas-based agency MK12, whose impressive portfolio can be viewed here: http://www.mk12.com.

I've been testing out PFHoe, an inexpensive 3D tracking application. I shot a short shaky handheld video of my edit desk, tracked it in PFHoe, then brought the tracking data into Cinema 4D where I added and animated a little brick-like object.
