Meine Güte, da werden Erinnerungen wach. Ich habe in den frühen Neunzigern quasi die Hälfte meiner Jugend vor dem 486er verbracht (damals schon mein dritter Computer) und Monkey Island gespielt - neben Maniac Mansion, Zak McKracken und Indiana Jones, versteht sich von selbst.
Endlich habe ich einen gescheiten Klingelton gefunden! ;)
holy moly! when i was 12 i spent a year playing monkey island on the old amiga 500! who else remembers this? it was legendary back in those early days (circa 1993 for me)
i was sick that year and missed the better part of that year of school (form 2) and when i wasnt swimming laps (exercise junkie even way back then!) i was playing monkey island!
anyway richard has just got the special edition release of it on his computer and we are spending hours playing it! i can still remember how to play it. it took me so long back then to figure everything out, i had a friend who was playing it too and between us we cracked the game but it took sooooooo long. anyway this time around i can remember enough that its straightforward and richard thinks im both insane that i figured it all out when i was 12, and legendary for having dedicated so much time and effort and succeeded haha (perfectionist plus exercise junkie = early signs of eating disorder much?)
this release is awesome, as in its upgraded enough to work on modern computers, but still vintage enough to bring back all the monkey island joy!

Nette Idee, allerdings hätte man nicht unbedingt diesen neuen potthäßlichen Guybrush aus Tales of Monkey Island nehmen sollen.

Well you are going to love this! Move over Jack Sparrow because here comes Guybrush Threepwood!
I have been hoping LucasArts would re-release all the old games someday, but this is even better. Too bad it is only available on PC and Wii. Looks like I'll just have to buy myself a new Wii. Booyah!
