On a lonely sugar cane farm on the Sunshine Coast of Australia you could be mistaken for thinking sneaky alien vandals have been at work.
Due to the closure of the sugar mill some time back, local cane farmers now grow their cane for garden mulch. In one of the fields where rolled up bales await transport either an enterprising farmer or marketing vandal spraypainted smiley faces onto all of the bales.
You cannot help but get a smile on your face as you drive past, because it just looks like they had so much fun.
Now the farmer has put up a sign saying that the happy cane is available.
