What about me and my blue collar?

What you are looking at here is the only known recording of Bruce Springsteen at the E Street Band at Bonnaroo. Bonnaroo has an open taping policy, however Bruce asked that his set not be taped, and being Bruce the festival honoured this, I did not know this until after the set when I arrived at Nine Inch Nails and all the tapers seemed to be ecstatic that I was able to record all of Bruce Springsteen.

This set is AMAZING. I have never been in a crowd so huge in my life (85,000) and the atmosphere was perfect, just one big 3 hour sing-a-long. I was pretty far back but right on the barrier that went from the stage to the soundboard, turns out Bruce would walk down this path 4 or 5 times, and I sure as shit got to high five him. Also seeing Bruce walk through the crowd collecting signs off people for song requests was quite a moment.

JONI MITCHELL
Wembley 1983 [no label, 1CD]
Live at the Wembley Arena, London, April 24, 1983. Very good satellite radio re-broadcast.
A previous (circulating) version of this show was the radio capture of the show - FM stereo onto cassette, but in February 2009, this show was rebroadcast by the BBC on its 6Music digital network. No more tape flips but a good, clean sound

I've enjoyed most of Moby's music this decade, but it wasn't until I heard Wait for Me this summer that I had a Moby record I loved as much as I loved his 1999 album Play.

So when I heard he was touring in support of Wait for Me, I couldn't wait to see him. In fact, we contacted Moby to try to webcast one of the early dates on his tour, at the 9:30 Club, back in September.... more on npr.org

.....No such pleading was necessary: what Mr. Anastasio and Mr. Hart have created is that rarest of rarities, a classical-rock hybrid that might please partisans from both constituencies. Set amid a generous group of popular Phish songs — gentle, string-cushioned ballads like “Brian and Robert” and “Let Me Lie,” as well as the audacious, intricate instrumentals “Guyute Orchestral” and “You Enjoy Myself” — the new piece could hardly have gone wrong....
