Punktuell stehlen Einbrecher in den USA massenweise Gold. In der Hauptstadtregion ist der Kreis Fairfax betroffen. Die Einbrecher kommen tagsüber vorbei.

Bei Bildern von der Berichterstattung erwecken die Opfer den Eindruck südasiatischer Herkunft. Auch in Washington prägt die Herkunft ihrer Bewohner die Wohngegend, selbst nach mehreren Generationen, und auch ohne Ghettobildung.

An der neunten Straße findet man in Washington Äthiopien und Eritrea, anderenorts die Karibik, und in Baltimore sind Italien und Polen gut repräsentiert.

Vielleicht orientieren sich die Einbrecher nicht an solchen Merkmalen, sondern am fehlenden Lexus in der Einfahrt, der bei Goldträgern besonders beliebt zu sein scheint.

Diskriminierung nach Wohlstand oder Mangel ist ja auch nicht verboten.
