I keep getting questions about inventory levels in different markets - here are three drastically different examples in San Diego

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about inventory lately and how different markets are affected by both current market conditions and seasonally. Here are three examples close to home for market inventories that are behaving quite differently. I’d love to hear your thoughts…

Here you have a perfect example of seasonal swings in Rancho Santa Fe – This year (BLACK) there has generally been more inventory than last year (ORANGE) and that has stayed fairly consistent in the Ranch.

La Jolla is very similar to the Ranch in that you are seeing season change with one notable difference in that this year (BLACK) we’ve seen a trending dip in inventory since October versus an trending rise in inventory last year… There is still more inventory in La Jolla than there was this time last year but the trends are completely different.

A third look at nearby Del Mar which is drastically different that either La Jolla or Rancho Santa Fe in that the inventory this year (BLACK) has actually dipped below last year inventory numbers (ORANGE).
