He definitely revolves near the worlds of Bon Iver, Iron & Wine, Fleet Foxes and Sufjan Stevens, but J Tillman is truly his own deal.
His newest album on Western Vinyl, Year In The Kingdom, is a lovely, sad, inspiring folk-y adventure.

He's playing here at the Bell House on Nov. 16th.
I'll be there and I'd venture to say you may want to be as well.

Also, on a sad note, Bailey's cat, Max, passed away this weekend.
He was a really sweet fella and his snuggling ways really won me over.
I'm now a dog and cat person.
Miss you Max.
Hope you're chasing mice in Cat Heaven.

The song is called Vessels and was recorded last month, August, while Tillman and his touring band played in Sacramento.  Check out Aquarium Drunkard to download more of Tillman's music.

I like it.  He has slow, melodic vocals similar to David Bazan.
