Not so long ago I wrote about the Secondhand Sureshots movie that's premiering soon.

Today Stones Throw Podcast 52 was released. Apparently all the $1 records that ended up not being used in the project landed in J Rocc's hands. Now he put together a 47 minute long mix of obscure (and some not so obscure...) vinyl finds from the dollar bins of LA.

Grab it free on iTunes.

It's finally being released!!

"Secondhand Sureshots is a filmed experiment in creative sound recycling. Dublab director Bryan “Morpho” Younce sent beatmakers Daedalus, Nobody, J.Rocc and Ras G on safari into L.A. thrift stores with orders to make new music out of five finds while the cameras filmed the whole process. The result is a mini-documentary about putting new life into old vinyl.  Over 2 hours of footage, music & bonus material."

You might have heard the infamous Mind Fusion series of Madlib. Well, there's something else in the works from the man with the most aliases in Hip Hop. Madlib Medicine show. Let's hope this stuff is dropping soon!

Also, there's a new mixtape project around the corner. Behind it is no other than Beat Junkie J Rocc. It's called Dil Jackson and is a mash-up of J Dilla and Michael Jackson. Here's a teaser.

There are only few things on the web that I stay up all night for.
Even if I am dead tired and could use some sleep.

1. Watching Steve Jobs keynote presentations.
2. The SuperBowl broadcast.
3. The Gaslamp Killer live on the decks.

Yesterday JRocc and his Beat Junkie Radio featured Gaslamp Killer and he absolutely smashed it!! Didn't expect anything else, but it's mind blowing nonetheless.

JRocc recorded the session on uStream: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2322154
