Performance recorded at the Santa Barbara County Bowl in September 1979 during Joni Mitchell's Mingus tour. The recording resulted in the 1980 double album Shadows and Light. Must see!

The show contains the track Goodbye Pork Pie Hat, which is composed by Charles Mingus, with whom Mitchell had collaborated on her tenth studio album Mingus. Charles Mingus died shortly after having completed the album in january 1979.
