It¹s Thanksgiving week, which means you¹ll probably be in the car with your
kids at some point. It¹s rarely a peaceful journey door-to-door. Try playing
Car Bingo.

Is your crib safe? Today, the manufacturer Stock Craft announced the recall
of 2.1 million drop-side cribs. Drop-side cribs carrying the Fisher Price
logo are unsafe and may even be deadly. The faulty plastic hardware on the
drop-side has lead to many injuries and several fatalities. This is the
largest crib recall in U.S history. Do you have one? If you do, get your
baby out of it. But make sure to call Stork Craft (877) 274-0277 for a free
repair kit before you use the crib again.

When surrounded by family and friends, it's easy to forget that others are
less fortunate. Teach your kids responsibility to their community by sharing
the wealth. Volunteer at a soup kitchen while your turkey is baking. Or
have each child donate one toy each to a shelter. Before you donate the
gifts, have the kid write a note about why this toy is special and they hope
the new owner will enjoy it.

The packaging for Drip maple syrup looks just like something out of a
medicine cabinet. The bottle features a dropper to dispense the syrup and
clean, clinical labeling. Isn't the medicine cabinet a "no, no" for kids?

One of my very first posts was about an exciting project between Doembecher
Children's Hospital in Oregon and Nike. Doembecher Freestyle are Nike shoes
designed by kids being treated for life-threatening conditions. Each design
expressed personal messages about their life, experiences and hopes for the
future. An empowering creative opportunity which helps raise funds for their
hospital. There are those who see the world in black and white and then
their is eleven year old, Anna Finely who sees the world in Technicolor.
Anna's Air Max Zenyth features bold pops of color and hand-drawn graphics
based on her life. And if that's not enough, there is the hot pink faux
lining in nod of her teddy bear collection.
