Tanks headed to Jaiselmer
We're on the highway to Jodhpur. Going the opposite direction is truck after truck with a military tank on the back. Our driver says they're heading to Jaiselmer out west - must be a base out there near the Pakistan border.

Well, we got up at 5:45 and drove for an hour out to a
little town called Kinchan. Stood on a rooftop for another hour watching a hundred or more Demoiselle cranes fly in. At the very end they started to go into a penned off yard where the villagers put out food for them. Now it's an hour back to Manvar for breakfast and picking up our luggage before heading onto Jodhpur.

I slept fine in the tent - space heater, hot water bottles and blankets. And franklly I could have kept sleeping until about now and googled the cranes later... Road weary in Rajasthan.
PS - awoke in the middle of the night to a striped cat walking around in our tent. At least I'm hoping it was a cat.
srdash Introducing Mr. Su-Su Kumar, New Delhi launches no peeing in public campaign! http://bit.ly/5AqkSL
At last, New Delhi Mayor Kanwar Sain got inspirations from cities like Singapore! Caught between change and no change, generally what happens is that we choose what is more convenient, what is more satisfying and what is needier. Again, New Delhi is going to host the Commonwealth Games in October of next year, and it may be yet another reason behind the new campaign! For example, ex-CEO of P&G A G Lafley says in Game-Changer that for every 100 ideas that are received, 1 reaches the market. However, for every 2 ideas that reach the market, 1 succeeds. AG feels that the batting average (final success rate) shouldn’t exceed 70%. If it does, it would imply that employees are not taking enough risks. And that’s not good for innovation productivity.
Here's a stat that an HP CTO, Phil McKinney, threw out at the Open Innovation Summit: "HP funnel starts w/ 2,500 ideas. 200 get eval. 30 make it through a 4-stage gate process. 2-3 products per year." (tweet link: http://twitter.com/bhc3/status/6302913799).
This post includes idea management stats, with a cost savings focus.
I'm convinced that it's the dogs that have it truly figured out. This is pretty much what they do all day. At night, it's party time w plenty of howling. It's a dog's life, which isn't necesarily a bad thing.
