One sixth of the world’s population lives on a dollar a day. Another sixth lives on two dollars a day. The global middle class lives on $3,000 to $5,000 per year. What would it feel like to be a person who lives on a dollar a day – or three thousand dollars a year?
What would it feel like to have your wallet or purse taken from you, then your cell phone, credit cards, passport and access to any outside help? Then imagine being kept locked up in domestic, labor or sexual servitude for years. Americans had the shame of slavery on our hands until it was abolished. However, human slavery exists as the largest cartel on the planet with an estimated 2,000,000 men, women and children trafficked each year.
A human life – fragile dreams; precious, meaningful, and sacred. The question is “How much is a human life worth?” In fact, an appropriate exercise would be to imagine being kidnapped and held for ransom. How much is your own life worth? Is it worth your entire estate to save your life? And then, is another life worth that much as well?
What are the acts of bold courage we can take outside of our comfort zone to reach out to another person in potent ways? How can we push ourselves far past our limits of safety and comfort to really and truly help another?
PeaceKeeper’s Eternal Equity Gloss asks the question, “What does true eternal equity look like where no one thrives at the expense of someone else?” True equity for all; what Founder, Jody R. Weiss calls “Collaborative Interdependence.” True Eternal Equity, where our empowerment and fulfillment is deeply tied to all other people on the planet and where we won’t rest until we know that we all can thrive.
PeaceKeeping starts with the small things in life; the way we treat ourselves and our families and the way we use our buying power collectively on products that heal the world. These acts, large and small, enable us to make an evolutionary choice of sustaining ourselves while sustaining the world. That is why PeaceKeeper calls this Beauty For Humanity. We say “Empowering You, Empowers Me.” Now That’s Beautiful™.

"It's not the psychedelic nature of the programme in its 70s incarnation that worries, but the behaviour it might encourage. Children dancing in the street! Grown men reading storybooks to kids - for no apparent reason!
Cookie Monster is the number one problem, not because he is a monster, but because he eats cookies (encourages obesity), and when his addiction takes a special stranglehold, the plate (might hurt). His alter ego, Alistair Cookie, used to smoke a pipe before eating it, which, Sesame Street producer Carol-Lynn Parente explained to the New York Times, "modelled the wrong behaviour", and so Alistair was, tragically, dropped, and he now probably munches down on pipes in bitterness in illegal pipe dens.
The clearly depressed Oscar the Grouch is another problem: "We might not be able to create a character like Oscar today," said Parente, which is possibly one of the most depressing sentences I have read in my life."
How sad it is that we've gotten to a point in society where everything is so PC that even Sesame Street is deemed inappropriate.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned -- unless she just happens to be really nice and couldn't get her deposit back.
Teanne Harris found out six days before her wedding that her groom had a case of extremely cold feet, and she was left sad and alone with a big catering hall all rented for the reception. So, naturally, she decided to throw a party for a bunch of senior citizens.
Teanne was inspired when, sitting with her mother in her car outside the reception hall, she glanced across the street and noticed the Asbury Court Retirement Community. That's when she decided to turn her big, gigantic lemon of a wedding into some lemonade. She went across the street and said she wanted to donate her Halloween-themed reception-gone-wrong as a costume party for the retirement community. And the party was a huge success -- the DJ played oldies, the catering hall made old-people food, and the dance floor was filled with geriatric Raggedy Anns and Draculas. In yo' face, woulda-been groom!
Presently Teanne is in Hawaii, having turned what was supposed to be her honeymoon into a relaxing Hawaiian vacation for one.
This mirrors very closely the idea of subpersonality work, like that of Voice Dialogue. We need to separate out the voices, speak to each voice, and that way we will finally get to the quiet peaceful place within all of us.

Here's the other side of the story in the Middle East. This is the side of the Palestinian people, who are also refugees. I feel for them greatly. They do not have a good situation, and it should be better. I do not agree with their solution, though. Both sides, the Palestinians and the Israelis, must feel beyond the parameters of their own skin. To feel one's own point of view only will get no one anywhere in the Middle East, or beyond. The point of view is unbalanced and tells only one side of the story. When we can see only our side of the story, interpersonal relationships cannot exist. Bring that up to the level of nationalism, and the consequences are tragic.
Both nationalities are displaced and need to consider one another. However, to feel the need to destroy the other goes back to the concept of silencing that which is within by quieting that which is "out there". It will not work. Peace comes from within, and the only way to world peace is through inner peace.
