One of my professors talked about how using a certain pen that you love can help with creativity. The way I just said it, it seems stupid, but it does have some merit. I haven't been able to find a single pen I really like until yesterday. I was sitting in class, sun shining through a window right onto my desk. I had a Bic Cristal pen in my hand and realized when I twisted the pen, it had a disco ball effect. It was awesome! I found the perfect pen for me. Aside from the awesome prismation, it writes very well, doesn't break easily (a plus for me), and a pack of ten only costs a dollar!

One of my favorite movie effects, when Dick Van Dyke makes his pants penguin-y in Mary Poppins:

Tryst

Does anybody actually keep a diary with the intent for it to never be read?

Classical music, when understood, is a great source of entertainment. I just bought Handel's Messiah (2 Disc) performed by the London Philharmonic for like $3 on Amazon MP3. I'm really glad I took a music appreciation class this semester.

The day of the week doesn't matter to me because I'm just as busy on weekends.

I think I'm going to be getting two pet turtles (ones that swim) soon. They're a big responsibility though. They live fifty years. I'll get two so they don't have to be lonely.

I better get to bed.

You should make a hand-turkey for Thanksgiving. I made one. I'll post a picture soon! GLITTER!!!

Body painting is a type of art in which paint is applied to a part of skin. It is considered one of the ancient types of art. Unlike tattoos, body painting is temporary. Lasting for just few hours or ion some cases a few weeks. Hand painting art is the application of make-up or paint on to the hands to look like any object or mostly to depict animals.

Following art is created by Mario Mariotti (1936-1997), an Italian artist from Florence, famous for his amazing hand painting art.

Artist Guido Daniele who has specialized in body artwork. His hand painting which he dubs as ‘Handimals‘ is appreciated around the world.

For your enjoyment, we have a collection of Guido’s hand painting art, check out his amazing creations which look like real animals.

This was erected overnight.

Photos courtesy of Logan Moeller and his awesome new camera phone.

I stumbled upon this Burton-esque hand sculpture walking from class yesterday on campus at Ball State. Interestingly enough, this statue was getting many impromptu camera phone pictures and videos taken, but no creator in sight. There is no title, no credits, no names, no face, just whispering among interested observers.

BRIEF HISTORY OF COLLEGE CAMPUS WALKING PATHS:
1. Space planners are  highly concerned by how people will get from one place to another.
2. They build contained and highly specific pathways to be used for walking to and from important buildings.
3. College students don't care.

We have all heard the phrase, "form follows function" but as my friend Mark Vandennakker once told me, "Well, sometimes function finds a form." This simply means that sometimes, a user of paths will make a deliberate decision to walk off the path. If enough people follow this new idea, then a path through the grass is eventually made common. The functionality of the path creates the form. This is basically taking the power of design out of the hands of the architect and giving that power to the people.

The reason why this sculpture caught my eye to include in the blog is because it really makes the path something different than what it was before. Now people notice this small area off the beaten path and realize that there is more to decorating a college campus than they might have previously thought. What is intensely interesting to me is this question. What would happen if, like the new paths, people would follow the example of this artist and begin creating their own artistic meaningful places around campus?
