My haircut was so interesting it made Broadway.

In a personal first, my hairs were cut last night and no clippers were used (Yes, I pluralized hair in defense of that horrible joke I used to tell in grade school - Hair cut? Which one did you get cut?).

I always feel like I'm not getting my money's worth when the barber doesn't take a lot off.

But then again, I could cut my own hair (I usually do) and take a lot off so I am definitely paying for impeccable barbertastic skill.

I decided only to get a trim in order to prepare for the looming Ethan Frome-like winter months, during which I plan on going into long hair mode.

I can't believe how short my hair is.

I got it done yesterday afternoon because I knew everyone would be watching the football and nobody would be in there; I hate getting my hair done in front of loads of people.

So I went down and when I walked in there were some women waiting which confused me at first but then they told me to go downstairs where there was a young Turkish man waiting.

He ushered me into the barber's chair and asked me how I wanted it done.  Seeing as I've had my hair cut the same place for several years or so, I wasn't apprehensive.

Soon he was snipping away while we were chatting about Holloween and the football.  It was only at the end when I realized he'd given me something between a number two and a number three on the sides and what looked like a hand snipped number four on the top.

Not even when I was at primary school have I ever in my life had my hair so short.  Very few people have seen me yet and although those that have have said it is the best hair cut that I have ever had, I think I looked like a gay arm reject.

What I am worried about is how my office is going to react tomorrow when they see how short it is: it really wasn't intentional but there isn't much I can do about it now, except wait for it to grow back.

I can't wait to see how all my friends and family react when they see my hair or lack of.

I'm not going to put on a picture yet because I'm still worried about people's reaction: you will just have to wait until you see me.

Follicley yours,

C x

Mondays: Are dreadful. No coffee, no breakfast.

Haircut: Took my mother to get her haircut and I then decided that I want one too.  I notice that I only cut my hair when I am in the mood and it happens to be sporadic.  We went to California Cuts where Jimmy works on my mother and Lisa tended to me.

Work: Monday sucks. Today seemed to be really slow.  I did not even get the chance to work out.

Late Night Munchies: Got hungry past midnight.  Ramen and rice is there to make my tummy happy.

Music: Mondays remind me of Tegan and Sara.

Here is what I had:
Espresso served in a traditional manner.
Shot of espresso
Mineral Water
New Air CD "Love 2" (check out song #4...it rocks) -- I bought this at Borders, which is 1/2 block away.

Not many coffee houses serves espresso in this traditional manner.

I dig this place.
