Question: Why do some people attack you for using ghostwriters?

Answer: Because they are angry, little people who cannot generate content, so they try to generate controversy to get attention.

I Have a Different Story

Posted By: in_PHI_nitti

Memories of a great friend,

There are probably enough stories and personal experiences with Mark and Elizabeth Prophet to write a book, but I will keep it very short at this time.

In August of 1979, I just finished training in Polarity Therapy with dinner and a send-off farewell to Dr. Vasant Lad, now a famous Ayurvedic Doctor. That evening in my dream state, I received a visit from a master who was sitting right in the middle of the sidewalk in NYC that was a continuation of my walk that evening. He was sitting with a group around him in a meditative posture. I was in a goofy mood, but when I sat in front of him in a lotus posture, and calmed myself down, he flashed before me like a physical slide show of all of his embodiments, and when finished he looked at me and said ”I like your colors” (I assumed he meant aura) and blessed me on my brow with his thumb. I did not know who he was, but at that time in my life I was seeking truth and leaning toward an eastern philosophy and teacher.)

I left NJ on a mission and long drive to set up a healing retreat in the southwest with Dr. Lad. Most certainly my guides had other plans for me. From foreign hitchhikers that flagged me down, to doors closing in Santa Fe to waitresses giving me tips, and bookstores along the way I was guided to Camelot, the Mystery school for the Ascended Masters and community with Elizabeth Clare Prophet, located in the Malibu Canyon.

I left my life behind, but that was only the beginning of a 20 year personal relationship with Elizabeth and an ongoing connection with Mark Prophet (Lanello) on inner levels. Over the years she was in every way great example of a courageous leader, determined in every way to fulfill the her mission of for all of the students and projects.

One of the most impressive memories when I first stepped onto this path was the discipline of the members. Another was the charisma and courage of Elizabeth in exposing the evils on the planet with regular conferences that were 20 years ahead of their time with forums ranging from retired generals, leading authors such as Zacharia Sitchen, and countless others that told us about the government conspiracies way before the internet, which are now almost common knowledge. And the greatest that she is known for is her invocations covering the full spectrum – from a soft voice to fiery mantras, from eastern bhajans to beautiful musical compositions.

I was blessed to be able to work closely with her on several projects – primarily in building and specialty needs. It seemed each project would come with a major initiation at the most unexpected time. She would often follow up with a phone call to see what I did remedy the situation.

I loved her, respected her and finally learned the biggest lesson of my life after 16 years – and that was to take her down from the GURU pedestal. Many were afraid to speak their minds to her, just like the fear or respect of a strict parent or coach.

One day I was over her house for dinner and was able to sit with her and tell her I was no longer afraid of her and could sit with her as a sister. I took her down from the place of idolatry. Her words to me were “ How come it took you so long to figure that out? Why can’t others figure that out”? She had been the best mirror, GURU (Gee You Are You) or reflection of my own insecurities.  From that point on all of my interactions with her changed and she became more of a personal friend.

Though I would sometimes disagree with her, or a certain instruction, or a personal issue, what mattered most was her caring for all of us, many time very sternly, to clear me and the community from our psychological imbalances – karmic records, and help us see our “stuff”. It meant going through layers of our psychology that she mirrored to us perfectly (most times just what we needed).

She has taught me to discern for myself and not be afraid of ridicule. She has given me confidence by helping me overcome my own insecurities. She was a spiritual warrior if there ever was one. She has taught me to fight on despite all negative odds. And we all learned some things that we never will do again as a community or with our families, and many mistakes for which she has been ridiculed.

From my experience the best and deepest transformation comes more from challenges and even failure. It is said, “The final test of constancy is failure - The oyster mends its irritating wound with a pearl”.

It seems the people of the world are currently being awakened not by love dove, but by hardships, or initiation, which is a tempering, and making us stronger if we pass this current testing as a civilization.

The other major factor, despite normal imperfections in her human personality, was the Light in her aura, her home, and all of the properties that were an extension of her. I am very sensitive to force fields from my background in energy healing and I can say honestly there was never another person or place in my life anywhere that carried a force field like her presence. It was tangible just walking onto the property.

The days in working the projects with her were some of my best experiences – most of which were down to the minute, just in time, and seemingly physically impossible. There was never a dull day in all of my time with her – and often the unexpected initiation.

For those skeptics I would say, How could so many serendipitous events occur in such perfection down to the fine detail, if she were a “phony”, as some have claimed. So many times, a call to her would have an immediate response. And “phony’s” don’t roll up their sleeves and do the hard work as she always did. She was as unpopular as some of my best coaches during the season, who ran a tight ship, but had a winning team.

I believe Elizabeth was perhaps the greatest spiritual warrior the planet has ever seen and despite her imperfections, she led the way. Many have all grown exponentially because of her.

The greatest Master is much less a Teacher than a Presence pouring the divine consciousness and its constituting light and power and purity and bliss into all who are receptive around him.   This method can be illustrated in the life of Ramana Maharshi, the sage of Arunachala, who gave his teaching in Silence.  This is an excerpt from his talks -

Question: How can silence be so powerful?

Sri Ramana Maharshi: A realised one sends out waves of spiritual influence, which draw many people towards him. Yet he may sit in a cave and maintain complete silence. We may listen to lectures upon truth and come away with hardly any grasp of the subject, but to come into contact with a realised one, though he speaks nothing, will give much more grasp of the subject. He never needs to go out among the public. If necessary he can use others as instruments.  The Guru is the bestower of silence who reveals the light of Self-knowledge that shines as the residual reality. Spoken words are of no use whatsoever if the eyes of the Guru meet the eyes of the disciple.

Question: Why does Bhagavan (i.e. Ramana Maharshi) not go about and preach the truth to the people at large?

Sri Ramana Maharshi: How do you know I am not doing it? Does preaching consist in mounting a platform and haranguing the people around? Preaching is simple communication of knowledge; it can really be done in silence only. What do you think of a man who listens to a sermon for an hour and goes away without having been impressed by it so as to change his life?  Compare him with another, who sits in a holy presence and goes away after some time with his outlook on life totally changed. Which is the better, to preach loudly without effect or to sit silently sending out inner force?  Again, how does speech arise? First there is abstract knowledge. Out of this arises the ego, which in turn gives rise to thought, and thought to the spoken word. So the word is the great grandson of the original source. If the word can produce an effect, judge for yourself how much more powerful must be the preaching through silence.

This is a post that discusses this issue from the perspective of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, But I liked this quote from Bhagavan that reveals the power of silence.
