Hello. I am Number 131, your doctor. Although I am supervising your treatment, you do not remember me. Indeed, due to your, ahem, unmutual circumstances, you remember very little. This is understandably confusing, but I hope you will keep an open mind about what I have to say.

You are a patient at the Village Clinic, where I oversee your case. The Clinic provides health care services for all inhabitants of the Village, free of charge, from cradle to, ahem, grave. Recently, you suffered a traumatic shock that has caused a form of memory loss called profound retrograde amnesia. In other words, you have experienced a loss of memory. This loss of memory occurred because you attempted to escape the Village. It may have been caused by a futile struggle against one, ahem, security system or another, or it may have been a prescribed erasure as an attempt to pacify your anti-social tendencies. The immediate cause of the memory loss is not known at this time, but regardless of what caused it, its persistence and depth is unusual. We believe that this is due to a trauma caused by some action on your part, and your mind has created a barrier as a way of protecting you.

We, that is, you and I and Number 2, had discussed various possible treatments and you decided that your only option was an experimental drug called Mnemosyne....

Ever wanted the right game to run The Prisoner, but just couldn't get the mechanics in the right place? Too much combat, not enough distorted acid-trip like visuals? Rollo not really explained to your liking?

Think the new Prisoner is an abomination in the eyes of God and Man?

I have you fixed right up!

With Xfire (the popular gaming suite) supporting full video recording it is an extremely convenient tool for any gamer. However, to compensate for the video transcoding involved they use a modified codec that does not use a lot of CPU power or run in VLC as can be seen by the rather disappointing error below..

Fortunately, they supply a tool solely for the converting of these videos into a more mainstream format.
Open up your Xfire installation folder (for me it was C:\Program Files\Xfire\) and then find the program called xfencoder.exe.

Open this up and you will be presented with a basic program with a single input and ouput.

As would be expected, simply point the Browse… to the directory of the saved files (C:\Program Files\Xfire\Video\ I think), select the file and press Go!. A new .mp4 file will be created in the same folder unless specified otherwise.

The newly converted file wil now (hopefully) load up nicely in VLC or whatever media player you happen to be using. Although this seems like an unnecessary extra step I would much rather have the FPS gain than a quicker video.

War games: no rules?
Are war games free of rules? Pro Juventute and TRIAL, the Swiss association for international criminal justice, have examined whether and to which extent international humanitarian law is respected in computer and video games. The result is as deflating as reality. The organisation calls upon game producers to consequently and creatively incorporate rules of international humanitarian law and human rights into their games.

Nothing says "functional relationship" like destroying someone's property rather than talking things out. I'd like to think this is fake, but this girl has a whole bunch of other videos where she's equally horrible. She's not worth it, buddy.
