Bettina at Lawngeekz asked:
If I have a work order with more than 1 action ....how to I save the pictures? Meaning how do I separate them between let’s say Rekey Before/After/Last and Janitorial Before/After/Last?
Excellent question.
Using the iPhone, you can mark any photo stream, in any order. Enter the Work Order, Service and Type (Before/After/Last). It can be any work order, service and type.
For example, You are working on a Rekey, and take 3 before shots, starting at 0010. You then take three before shots for Janitorial starting at 0013. Then you take 4 before shots of the rekey.
On the iPhone, just enter the work, as it happened.
1) Rekey-> Before-> 0010-> NEXT (Next record will determine range of photos for Rekey Before) 2) Change to Janitorial->Before->0013->NEXT (Marks 0010-0012 as Rekey-Before) 3) Change back to Rekey-> Before ->0016 (Marks 0013-0015 as Janitorial-Before)
The you take a bunch of after shots
4) Rekey->After->0020 (Marks 0016-0019 as Rekey-Before)
5) Janitorial->After->0050 (Marks 0020-0049 as Rekey-After)
Then you want to let the office know your done (Optional)
6) Janitorial->Last->0069 (Marks 0050-0069 as Janitorial-After)
The pictures when received will all be properly marked in FASconnect.
Let’s say you forgot one, and need to take one more Before shot for the Rekey
Easy:
7) Rekey->Before->00708) Rekey->Last->0070
That will get it done, the Last ensures there will only be one picture marked “0070” for the Rekey->Before photo forgotten.
What is important to remember is the photo stream is continuously incrementing the photo number as the day progresses. You can assign any Photo Number to any work order/service/type.
Last is used to place an ending marker on the photo stream. It is optional, since the next Record will mark the end of the previous Record. Using our example above, notice on the Rekey we did not need to put “Rekey->Last->0012” since it can be determined to be 0012 since the next record is “Janitorial->Before->0013”. Last is really important if you take a bunch of pictures and forget to mark the first picture number. We assume all those photos are for the last record entered on the iPhone.
